Details of each house type can be seen on their attached plan and location of each house type within the development is also shown on layout plan. DDL have submitted detailed plans for the types of houses, which will include 7 three-bedroom single storey houses, 13 three-bed 1½ storey, 7 four-bed single storey and 9 four-bed 2 storey. The finished appearance will be in keeping with existing Drumoig houses. They propose to build in phases and to order.
Other features DDL are required to provide, which are detailed in their submission, include the following:
Play Area: Their contribution is approx. £36k for the overall Play Area for both construction and equipment. The equipment being provided is contained within this cost. The play area will feature grass mounds, sand areas and rustic play equipment. The maintenance of the Play Equipment is outlined in the landscape maintenance plan submitted.
Community Woodland: An area of community woodland has been included to provide a mixed mature woodland area. We will have discussions on the layout of this woodland and the entranceway if DDL are successful with their application.
Landscape Maintenance: The application includes a Landscape Maintenance plan which outlines the planting and general management of the areas not in private ownership. It requires to developer to appoint a Managing Agent for long-term maintenance.
Car Park: a small lay-by is planned for Pickletillum Ave near the junction with Forgan Drive. This will allow residents to park there for easier access to the main bus stops.
Shop: a temporary shop is proposed at the south west corner of the Golf Centre car park. At this moment in time it is not known who will operate the Shop or when it will be operational.
Footpath to Bus Stop: there is a proposal to create a formal, surfaced, footpath from the foot of Craigie Hill towards the Bus Stops at the Pickletillum Inn. New pathways will also be formed, connecting the new housing areas with the Golf Centre and Drumoig Hotel.
Recycling Area: a new area for recycling will be created at the golfers car park, to replace the facilities beside the hotel.
Public Art: part of the overall landscaping proposals include informal seating and viewpoint areas looking towards the Leng Memorial and also over golf course ponds, with a mown path and interpretive signs. A number of stone pillars will be constructed within the development, particular at the two entrances to the Play Area/ Community woodland.
